Who we are

Shambld is operated by Engeforge LLC, a Washington State LLC. References to "we," "us," or "our" in this policy refer to Engeforge LLC. Questions? Email us at hello@engeforge.com.

What we collect

Email address — used to sign in via one-time code. We do not send marketing email.
Profile information — display name, username, bio, and avatar image you choose to provide.
Event and activity data — events you create or RSVP to, scores, crew memberships, and check-ins.
Location — only during active Chicken Chase events, and only with your explicit permission. Location is used to show your position to other players during the hunt and is not stored after the session ends.
Push notification token — a device identifier provided by Apple used to deliver notifications. Stored only if you grant notification permission.

We do not collect device identifiers beyond the push token, and we do not use advertising SDKs or third-party analytics trackers.

How we use your data

To authenticate you and maintain your account.
To power the features you use — events, scoring, crews, leaderboards.
To send push notifications about events you have RSVPed to, scores posted by organizers, and announcements from event organizers.
To display your profile to other users you interact with in the app.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

Third parties

We use the following services to operate Shambld:

Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage. Your data is stored on Supabase-managed infrastructure.
Expo / Expo Push Notification Service — used to deliver push notifications to your device via Apple's APNs.
Vercel — hosts the Shambld website (shambld.com).

These services receive only the data necessary to perform their function. We do not share your data with any other third parties.

Data retention

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your profile, event history, and associated data are deleted within 30 days. Anonymized aggregate data (e.g. event counts) may be retained indefinitely.

Your rights

Access — you can view all data associated with your account in the app.
Correction — you can update your profile at any time from the Profile tab.
Deletion — email us to request full account deletion. We will process it within 30 days.
Notifications — you can disable push notifications at any time in your device settings.

Age requirement

Shambld is intended for users who are of legal drinking age in their jurisdiction (21+ in the United States). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the legal drinking age. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
